Busy

I feel like I hardly have time to type this. Right now, I’m writing a YA novel called Razorland. This is significant because I’m doing something I’ve never done before, called Fast Drafting. I mean, people already think I’m fast, but this pace is grueling (5K a day for 14 days and I have a book.)

I also a book to promote (the third Jax novel, Doubleblind, comes out Sept 29). But wait, there’s more! The final Jax proposal is due this month. I chose tomorrow as a random date, but the truth is, I’m not exactly sure when. Anne just told me September. I may ask for clarification. And there’s more. I have prizes to take to the post office, and I just put up another contest on my blog. (Go try to win a copy of Jess Granger’s BEYOND THE RAIN!) I also have an anthology coming out Sept 21, and another book releasing Nov 3.

Are y’all excited? I know I am.

Coming October 31st

But there’s also grocery shopping, meals to cook, and children to nurture. Whew. Just typing that stuff makes me tired. I’d like to write a longer post, but frankly, I have too much stuff to do already.

What’s keeping you guys busy?

Work and commuting is the biggest part of it. Being taxi for my 16 yr old daughter, and internet, lol…and of course, reading!! All the other things are just bonuses!!

    5k for 14 days? You’re a writing goddess!

Homeschooling my 14 year old and 7 year old. Ferrying them to Karate and RE classes each week, testing, dealing with everything that goes on or needs done in the home because my husband, brilliant though he may be, is not good at caulking, painting or remembering to mow the lawn. But, right now the big worry is how to pay for karate competition for both kids, testing for new belts for both, Daughter has surgery to remove tonsils and adenoids in November, her Confirmation and competition in November. *sigh* Can we skip November? Or, until January? *G*
Best wishes on all your projects!

See, the homefront’s enough to keep me running without any writing or that sort of thing at all! Hats off to you, Ann, and the rest of you moms! Woohoo!

    Wow, you guys are busy!

Cindy, it’s been a lot tougher than I expected. I miss my weekends off, and 5K just hits me a lot harder than 3K. 5K is well above my recommended daily allowance of words.

Congrats on the books. It’s awesome that you’re so busy–it means more books. :)
