The Bradford Bunch

Holiday Heat (massive giveaway!)

To drive off the chill for some of y’all I’m going to run a contest. Here are the books that are up for grabs.

Don’t they all look amazing? The Bradford Bunch has a ton of releases in January! So I’m celebrating these books right here. RULES: I’m not pulling a single winner, either. I’m doing random winners over the next week. There will be “hot” times to comment, but you must comment often because you never know when you might get lucky. This contest runs until I have announced nine winners, at least one a day. No spamming, no random links. Your comment must contain content and pertain to the books or something a prior commenter has already said.

Everyone understand how we play? I’ll start us off with a question, but feel free to let the conversation evolve. However, if you’re coming in later, and you can’t think of anything to say on your first comment, you can always answer this for your comment. (Do not answer it repeatedly; that will not win you anything.)

Which of these books are you most excited to read and why?

So that’s it. There are some lovely, lovely books up for grabs, and nine winners to be found. Go for it, people!

ETA:
First winner! Cathy M claims a copy of STOLEN SEDUCTION!
Second winner! Raelena wins a copy of CRUX!
Third winner! Joder snags a copy of THE STRANGER’S SECRETS!
Fourth winner! Booklover1335 runs off with SWITCH!
Fifth winner! Amy Kathryn snares a copy of COMING UNDONE!
Sixth Winner! Michelle K bags ETERNAL HUNTER!
Seventh winner! Jane steals a SCOUNDREL’S KISS!
Eighth winner! Miranda makes off with KING OF THE UNBLESSED!
Final winner! Bella walks off with WICKED ENCHANTMENT!

And that’s all, folks. Email me your name & address at ann.aguirre at gmail dot com.

I am aching for Lauren’s Laid Bare. Need to read some hot romantic and smoldering love.

  2. limecello Says:

Oooo Michelle Pillow’s new series looks great. I read fantasy before I got into romance - and have been looking at it again.
:X And I need to play catch up on Elisabeth Naughton’s books. LOVED Laid Bare- if I hadn’t already read it that’d for sure be #1 on my list. And for those who haven’t read it yet, move it to the top of your list now!
Also, the swidget reminded me that I pre-ordered Switch from the harlequin ebook boutique, and need to download it now. :D

  3. blodeuedd Says:

I just came across Scoundrels Kiss for the second time this week, and that cover just tells me to buy it so yeah it is that one ;)
    Among plenty others

I am anxiously awaiting Switch by Megan Hart. Love her writing. Always takes the reader on an emotional journey.

  9. Michelle Santiago Says:

definitely eternal hunter by cynthia eden–i just read the blurb on amazon and it sounds like my kind of book. is it part of a series and is a sequel to immortal danger? if it is, all the more awesome because i love series books!

  10. Michelle Pillow Says:

I love those covers! And, of course, I’m excited to read all the Bradford Peeps ;)

  11. Cathy M Says:

I agree with Limecello, Laid Bare was a winner. I’ve gotten hooked on Elisabeth Naughton’s, Stolen series, and just finished reading book 2, Stolen Heat, and can’t wait to start Shane’s story.

  17. Viki Says:

I think I’d like to get my hands on Eternal Hunter by Cynthia Eden.

  18. Cathy M Says:

Cynthia’s story really does look great, Viki. Can you believe I’ve never read any of her books before? Since Eternal Hunger is book one in this series, I figure that this one would be great to start with.

  19. elaing8 Says:

Cathy M I haven’t read any Cynthia Eden books either.i think we’re missing out. Eternal Hunter sounds great and that cover is yummy!!

  20. Donna B Says:

As i have never read any of the authors here i would be excited to read any of them, this makes it very hard to choose just one. Sorry i can’t name one.

Thanks for running this giveaway it is very exciting

    Good Luck Everyone xx

  21. Cheryl McInnis Says:

I want to read all of them, LOL….but since I have the first two books in Elisabeth’s Stolen series and am dying to know how the series ends, I’ll probably pick up Stolen Seduction first…then get the others ;- )

  22. RachaelfromNJ Says:

I am dying to read Wicked Enchantment by Anya Bast! I’ve been hearing really good things about it from other reviewers lately and would love to read it.

  23. Cathy M Says:

I totally agree about the Stolen series, Cheryl, great romantic suspense storylines. I received Stolen Fury as a Christmas present last year, and love that she put out the next two books so close together. This is the end of the series too, and I will definitely keep Elisabeth as one of my auto buy authors.

  24. Sasha Says:

I’m excited to read Michelle’s and Anya’s,because sad to say, I’ve never read either of them, but I’ve met them and think the ladies themselves are wonderful!

  25. Lisa Freeman Says:

I’ve got Laid Bare and Wicked Enchantment sitting on my nightstand. I hope to start them next week. I’m looking forward to getting Eternal Hunger. She said on another loop this morning that it’s set in the same world as the Midnight series but not the same characters. I’ve never read the Stolen series but so many have recommended it here I’ll have to go see what it’s about.

  26. Jane Says:

I’m really looking forward to reading “Stolen Seduction.” I really enjoyed the first two books in the series.

  27. RachieG Says:

    Scoundrel’s Kiss looks awesome :)

  28. limecello Says:

Um, also, I can’t believe I forgot Wicked Enchantment. I heart Anya Bast - who wouldn’t? So a new series would be all sorts of exciting too.
And you know, the other books too. Duh. But I was trying to show restraint. :P Not one of my strong points.

  29. Jackie U Says:

Amazingly, I haven’t read Cynthia Eden either. Every time I go to the bookstore, I try to remember to pick up one of her books. It’s like there’s a mental block or something keeping me from remembering, LOL.

  30. Anna Shah Hoque Says:

I have Holiday Bound waiting to be read. I’ve been trying to get through my massive pile of To Be Read pile of books so it’s on my list of books to read soon.

  31. Anna Shah Hoque Says:

  35. The Book Vixen Says:

The Eternal Hunter. It sounds like it’s jam-packed with all kinds of paranormal goodness!!

  36. Armenia Says:

Oooohh. I am so looking forward to SWITCH by Megan Hart. I just found her this year, and find that her stories are complex, thought provoking, and just darn intriguing. I just loved her Solace series so far.

  37. Armenia Says:

I just realized that COMING UNDONE by Lauren Dane is up for grabs!! WhooHoo!! Lauren, is another author I discovered this year. I so want this book, too. I feel like the lady in front of Target chanting “Open, open”. Like the books are gonna get here faster!! Ah, the life of a romance book reader.

  38. Jane Says:

The only authors I haven’t read from that group are Michelle and Carrie.

  39. Joder Says:

The tattoo on that cover of Lauren’s book is really cool. I wish I had the guts to do something to do that.

I’m particularly excited by Beth’s book. As a disabled person I love seeing characters reflective of me–you don’t find enough of them in my opinion.

  40. MaryK Says:

Rumor has it  that Moira Rogers is great. I’d like to try her book.

  41. Gayle H Says:

I just got into Cynthia Eden and after I read one short story, I went out and bought ALL of her books! Cannot wait to get to Eternal Hunter!!

  42. Barbara Elness Says:

Scoundrel’s Kiss, Eternal Hunter, and Wicked Enchantment are all books I’m dying to read. The rest of the books up for grabs are pretty great too, so I’d be happy to have any of them.

  43. Elaine R Says:

I am most looking forward to reading Eternal Hunter by Cynthia Eden. I absolutely adoreher Other series. Its great reading about a supernatural creature being paired with a human, and them making it work in spite of their differences.

  44. Booklover1335 Says:

    Hi Ann,
You are so right! There are some awesome books coming out by Bradford authors. I am most excited about Coming Undone. I’ve been anxiously awaiting Brody’s book ever since reading Laid Bare…which consequently was one of my fav books on 2009.

  45. Amy Kathryn Says:

I am anxiously awaiting Coming Undone from Lauren.

  46. Cathy M Says:

Thank you very much Ann for my copy of Stolen Seduction. Such a great list of books still to go, so good luck everyone and happy new year.

  47. Miranda Says:

I’m looking to get my hands on Switch… I got to read a snippet in a blog earlier this month and it hooked me.

    BTW - Congrats Cathy! :D

  48. Cheryl McInnis Says:

Congrats Cathy  , and @ MaryK- Moira Rogers is terrific, I’ve enjoyed everything of hers that I’ve read so far!

    Congrats, CathyM!

  50. Raelena Says:

Crux sounds like it would be good…but then again so do all the other books

  51. Donna S Says:

There are a few books in that list I cant wait to read. One is Eternal Hunter just sounds so good and I have loved all the excerpts I have read so far.

  52. MaryK Says:

I’ve been looking at Eternal Hunter by Cynthia Eden; it’s set in the city where I work which could be fun. But what’s up with the Publisher’s Weekly review? They make it sound like the heroine has a split personality. Is that odd wording or a plot spoiler?

  53. Dana Says:

Crux…Why? Because I’ve not read any of her works and have heard AWESOME things.

I know most of the others listed are FAB and thri books are aready on my New Years Shopping list. (Like Lauren, Anya, Cynthia and Denise to name just a few)

  54. Joder Says:

Cynthia has some great stories with great alpha heroes. Again though, I’m very excited for Beth’s western. It’s nice to see authors still writing in that genre since I’m worried it’s losing some popularity.

  55. Soullumination Says:

I’d love to get my greedy little paws on Michelle M Pillow’s ‘King of the Unblessed’!

I absolutely LOVED her Divinity Warriors series!!
(If you haven’t read those 4 ebooks you should definitely check them out.)

    *sheepish grin*

  59. Michelle Santiago Says:

congrats to cathy m! i didn’t watch through all the books in the little widget thing and now i see that carrie lofty’s scoundrel’s kiss is up there. i wanna read that book after i read the excerpt on another author’s website!

  60. Melissa Says:

Eternal Hunter by Cynthia Eden. But I already have it in my hot little hands, and can’t wait to sink into Jude!! Next in line is Laurens’s Laid Bare…LOVE Lauren’s story, and you guys ~~ and I DO mean you guys and your blogs ~~ have hooked me on Elisabeth, so I can’t wait for Stolen Seduction, and OMG, Anya Bast has a new one out, too!! LOL, there just aren’t even enough hours in the day to read all the the awesome books coming out!! Beth has one, too…sigh. My book bill is KILLING me this month!!

  61. Melissa Says:

OMG, I’m dying for Coming Undone…Fatin has been telling me how AWESOME it is!! I can’t WAIT for that one….I love single mother stories, being one myself.

  62. Melissa Says:

Cathy ~~ YEAH!! Congrats, girl!! I’ve loved the 1st 2 Stolen books…they rocked!!

  63. MaryK Says:

    “book bill”

I purposely do not break out my book spending from the rest of my budget.

  64. Pamk Says:

I can’t wait for cynthia Eden’s Eternal Hunter. Love all of her other books. If you’ve not read Crux that series rocks. And anything by Lauren or Anya is a great read.

  65. Joder Says:

Michelle’s stuff is always sexy to read. I enjoy her stories.

  66. Donna S Says:

Another one I am excited for is Wicked Enchantment. I love Anya’s books and just finished Witch Fury. All ready for the new series.

  67. Tez Miller Says:

WICKED ENCHANTMENT, COMING UNDONE & SWITCH have been on my wishlist for months! Glad they’re finally coming out

  68. Tez Miller Says:

Speaking of Moira Rogers, I saw on Samhain’s Coming Soon page that another of her/their eBooks will be published soon…

And more than just one Michelle M. Pillow print book will be released on January 5. I swear there are at least five books of hers coming out that day!

  69. MaryK Says:

“Speaking of Moira Rogers, I saw on Samhain’s Coming Soon page that another of her/their eBooks will be published soon…”

I think I have one of her books from there, but I haven’t read it yet. So little time.

  70. Mickey M (m-square) Says:

All look great, but I am truly looking forward to Coming Undone by Lauren Dane. I loved Brody in Laid Bare, and after reading the excerpt for his book (which was HOT by the way) I am couting the days/hours/minutes until this release!

  71. Mary G Says:

So hard to pick one because they’re all wonderful authors but since I’m a contemp girl, I’m going to pick Coming Undone by Lauren Dane.

  72. Robin Priddy Says:

Crux sounds really good. I need to put it and a few others on my tbb list. Just what I needed more new authors.

  73. kim h Says:

  74. iokijo Says:

    They all look great… but
#1 would have to be Coming undone.. have seen nothing but great praise for Lauren Danes’ work.
#2 King of the Unblessed..I have this in ebook but would love to have a print version of Michelle’s book. I mean look at that cover.. who wouldn’t. :)
#3 Wicked Enchantment.. Anya Bast is another author I’ve only seen good things about, and would love to try.

    Good luck everyone!

  75. Jeanette Juan Says:

I’m most excited to read Coming Undone by Lauren Dane since it’s the sequel to Laid Bare, which was an amazing book!

  76. Anna Patterson Says:

:???: I find it difficult to pick one, but I would like to read Fairy Queen.

  77. Pam P Says:

I want several of these, top of the list Stolen Seduction (very good suspense which is a nice change from my usual historicals and paranormals) and Eternal Hunter. Love Cynthia’s books, had my eye on her from her first few Secrets anthology stories, and sure haven’t been disappointed since. Recommend the Midnight Trilogy, especially the third, and dying to get into her new series now.

I haven’t tried Moira’s books yet, but have been seeing recommendations for Crux, so on the list it goes.

Congrats, Cathy, and Happy New Year to all!

  78. Pam P Says:

Oh, forgot to say Scoundrel’s Kiss is another good, that one I got to read already.

  79. Booklover1335 Says:

Another book I can’t wait to read is Switch by Megan Hart. I discovered Megan in 2009 and have been in awe of her books especially Broken and Deeper…another thing I love is the one word titles they were perfect for each of these books. It’s a small thing but it all worked for me, which is why Switch went straight to the wish list for 2010

  80. elaing8 Says:

    congrats Cathy M.
Just read a blurb for Switch by Megan Hart.Sounds like a steamy read. Another book add to my lis t:)

  81. Katie Says:

My first choice would have been the 3rd book in the Stolen series, but I’m too slow. The new Anya Bast or Crux look great, tho.

  82. limecello Says:

Oooo congratulations to Cathy M - Stolen Seduction should be a fantastic read! :) I’ve been wanting to get started on Elisabeth Naughton’s series!

  83. Dana Says:

Lauren and Anya are sensational story tellers. One book and you will be hooked for life.

I’ve read Kery, Eden, Agnew and Pillow- All Excellent as well and I ahve no qualms recommending any of them.

As for the others…I haven’t read anything by them (YET!!) but based on the wonderful things I’ve heard, will be very soon.

  84. Ann Aguirre Says:

I’m hitting the reset button again. New comments from this point on go toward the next drawing. Keep playing!

  85. MaryK Says:

Crux is gone, bummer. Uh, I mean congratulations, Raelena!

Silly me didn’t realize Crux is a Samhain book which means I can buy the ebook DRM-free.

  86. Taylor Z Says:

I’m exited for Eternal Hunter and Wicked!!! Woooo!!! LOVE CONTESTS!!!!

  87. Mary G Says:

I think Switch by Megan Hart sounds good. I’ve read the first book that Megan wrote with Lauren Dane & loved it. Just bought the second one.

  88. Linda Henderson Says:

I would love to read Coming Undone. It’s been on my wish list. Congratulations to the other winners. Hope everyone has a safe New Year’s Eve.

  89. elaing8 Says:

    Congrats Raelena.Crux sounds good.

Wicked Enchantment is still my top pick but Eternal Hunter sounds good too.So many great books coming out.

  90. Fiction Vixen Says:

I’ve already read a couple of these (lucky me!! ) I want to read Wicked Enchantment by Anya Bast. I mean “sexy faire on incubus action”. *fans self*

  91. Amy Kathryn Says:

DRM free is nice…I am still trying to decide which eReader I want to gift myself with in 2010. I want to see the pricing and such for the rumored iTablet before making a final decision. Happy to see that Coming Undone is still up for grabs in this contest!

  92. Joder Says:

Congrats Raelena! Crux does sound good so happy reading! I’m currently hanging out waiting for Mr. Fed Ex to bring me my Christmas present to myself. I finally took the plunge and got a Sony ebook reader so I’ll be giddy once I finally get my hands on that magical device.

  93. Melissa Says:

    Happy New Year!!!

  94. Melissa Says:

Oh, I forgot about Megan’s new release…I have to get to B&N!!

    Congrats, Raelena!!

  95. Melissa Says:

Oh, Denise’s books are awesome…Love, LOVE her Taggert series, it’s one of my FAV’s!!

  96. iokijo Says:

Congrats to the winners so far…
    Thanks for the recommendations Dana..
I rely on GC from MyPoints.com to get books, so I don’t get as many as I want, but Lauren & Anya are definitely on the “to get” list.

  97. Leah Braemel Says:

Oh, wow, so many good books to choose from, but the one I’m looking forward to the most is Coming Undone by Lauren Dane. I just finished her Laid Bare and put it on my Favourite Reads of the Year list.

  98. Dottie Says:

The books I’m looking forward to are Wicked Enchantment (love fae), Eternal Hunger (I mean, really yum!), and Kingdom of the Unblessed (just sounds great).

    Thanks for a great contest!

    Dottie :)

  99. Cheryl McInnis Says:

@Joder….You’ll love it. I just got a Sony Reader for Christmas and I am loving it. My library lends ebooks now and the wait for new releases is SO much shorter than the wait for hardcovers. Now I just need 4 or 5 extra hours a day to find more time to read,
I am very excited to read Anya’s new series. I really enjoyed the novella in the Hot For The Holidays anthology~

  100. Amy Kathryn Says:

@Cheryl…that is why I am leaning towards the Sony. I would love to get books from the library also.

  101. iokijo Says:

Cheryl M. do you have to go to the library or can you lend they online? That would be a great bonus to be able to do that.

  102. Joder Says:

The library thing was what finally pushed me to the Sony. And I like the look and feel of it better. Now if it would just get here….I’m constantly looking out the window for the Fed Ex truck.

iokijo…it’s my understanding it’s done online–at least that’s how my library explained it to me. But Cheryl will have to correct me if I’m wrong–which is highly possible.

  103. iokijo Says:

That would be great.. I could check out new authors with out waiting 6 months to a year to buy the book…
Sounds like I have some library checking to do..
    Thanks.

  104. Elizabeth M Says:

Eternal Hunter can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait. Everything of Cynthia Eden’s is a must have and she never disappoints. Its already on pre-order status.

  105. limecello Says:

iokijo and Joder - libraries with elibraries do make the Sony very tempting - they don’t seem to have many mobipocket books - that and there’s DRM.

Congratulations to Raelena! Crux sounds great - and it reminds me I’m so behind on my Moira Rogers books :X But shh don’t tell Bree or Donna! :P

  106. Barbara Elness Says:

Congratulatons to the two winners so far.
Several of the authors are new to me. So even if I don’t win, I got to learn about some new authors.
    Happy New Year to everyone!

  107. Donna S Says:

Congrats Raelana! Crux sounds great, I hope you enjoy it.

Im still on the fence with e-readers. I love holding a book and turning the actual pages. But I can see where an e-reader would be useful. Is the Sony the only one that lets you borrow from the library? Do they all read pdf files? The few e-books I have already are in pdf format. Does anyone use a I-touch to read books, curious how that is. My ipod is dying a slow painful death so I need to replace that before I can seriously think about a e-reader.

    Happy New Year!!

  108. Joder Says:

Well, Mr. Fed Ex brought my reader. Seems to be working great with the pdf books I already had and set up was simple. I’m so giddy right now I can barely stand myself. I think the fact that I figured it out on my own was most exciting (it’s very similar to iTunes management wise).

  109. Jane Says:

I’m so jealous of everyone that got an ereader for Christmas. I do hope I’ll get my hands on a Kindle soon.

  110. Amy Kathryn Says:

@Donna S..I tried reading on the iTouch but the screen was so small.

I am waiting to look at the rumored iTablet but if that is too expensive I have pretty much decided on the Sony Reader. I have two 2 week trips next year and want to take plenty of reading material along without filling an extra suitcase! I have 4 months to decide and take the plunge.

  111. Lisa Freeman Says:

I really plan to get a Sony ereader this year. I’ve got a Palm Tungsten E now and I can’t get it to sync with my new laptop which has Vista. So I’ve been reading my ebooks on the laptop.

Congrats to both winners. I’ve never read Moira Rogers but I like the looks of that cover.

  112. Katie Says:

I see that I have good taste in books 2 of the books I thought were the most interesting are gone. I will just have to add them to my wish list.

    Congrats winners!

  113. Cheryl McInnis Says:

Yep, libraries lend ebooks online. They use Overdrive software, which automatically removes the book from your hard-drive and Reader when your lending date is over. My library lends for 2 weeks, and when you look at the book on your Reader, it will show you how many days you have left to read it. It’s really cool, and I can see it becoming more and more popular!

  114. Pam P Says:

Congrats Raelena, and Happy New Year, everyone! Two of my top 3 gone already (Stolen Seduction and Crux), but my New Year sure would start off great reading Cynthia’s Eternal Hunger.

I like reading ebooks, easier on my hand problems without having to keep holding open many of the paperbacks to read print too close to the inner binding. Don’t think I’d want to read on a small iphone screen, was okay with my handheld but then I won a Kindle and it’s a nice size screen. Saves me a lot of space around the house wanting so many books.

  115. Armenia Says:

I am looking forward to some really great books from our Bradford Bunch authors. Coming Undone and Switch are two that I am waiting to read in the upcoming months. Yahoo !!! Can’t wait!

  116. Armenia Says:

Oh, I forgot. Happy New Year, everyone. It’s been fun!!

  117. QLady48 Says:

Congrats to the two winners!!! I’ve been wanting to read Within His Embrace, glad it’s still available!!! Happy New Year to all!!! Thanks, Sue

  118. Mitzi H. Says:

I’m familiar with 3 or 4 of the authors involved in this contest….but they all look yummy and I’d be happy to take any of them home!!!

All this talk of ereaders…I must learn more computer stuff and get one!…I just moved my library out of our spare bedroom closet (so my daughter and family could move back home)and I had 758 books that had to be sorted/boxed…(I probably should think about selling or swapping them….But what if I want to read them again??? Until I get an ereader….by hubby must build me a bigger closet!!! That’s all there is to it!!!

Happy Reading and Happy New Year To All!!!

  119. CherylS22 Says:

I can see the use of an e-reader while traveling - you can carry many, many books without all the weight of the individual books. But, when it gets down to it, I love to read my books the traditional way. I like to hold the book, turn the pages & see what happens next.

I wish you all a happy, healthy New Year!

  120. iokijo Says:

Hope everyone had a good New Years Eve.

CherylS22.. Once I had lasik done & could read physical books again they started building in numbers quickly, but now they are causing problems in my hands & wrist to get worse.[esp. hardback]. so it looks like it will be back to ebooks for most.. MM paperbacks for the rest.

  121. Jeanette Juan Says:

I’m hearing a lot of good things about Cynthia Eden’s new series. I was wondering if anyone read any of her other books and what they thought about them/new book?

  122. Joder Says:

As a disabled person who is having more and more problems holding a book open I really felt that the ereader was my best option. I used it all last night and it worked like a dream. I didn’t have to fight to keep the book open. The buttons are nicely responsive, but not overly so. I was just amazed at how easy set up was (like I said, very iTunes like). And I’m happy Beth’s book is still in the running since that’s the one I really want.

    Happy 2010 Everyone!

  123. Melissa Says:

Jeanette~~ I had read Cynthia’s anthologies w/ Shelly Laurenston, and they were really good…but recently I picked up a copy of Midnight Sins. OMG, it was GREAT. I went into a HUGE Cynthia Eden read…read until I’d gotten all her books finished, lol, and am getting ready to dive into Eternal Hunter today. Her Other series is incredible, and her books are just getting better and better, IMO. If you like paranormals, I think you’ll be thrilled with her books. You can’t go wrong!

  124. Melissa Says:

I have a SERIOUS case of Kindle lust. Serious. As in every few days I just go to the Amazon page and reread all the little deets, and my fingers hovers over the 1 click to buy it now, lol. I’m SO tempted, and then I think I have my eBookwise, which has been a great and trusty reader…I don’t really NEED to spend all that money on new one, do I? BUT…I want the instant gratification. I want, if I hear about a book that sounds awesome, to be able to have it w/in min.’s!!
I can’t get past that…so eventually, I WILL buy myself either a Kindle or a Nook. That’s the battle now…which is better? I like the lend feature on the new Nook, but maybe Amazon will catch up and add it to Kindle.

  125. QLady48 Says:

I would like an e-reader to cut down on all the clutter at my house. I don’t say clutter, to me it’s TBR piles and keepers, but my fam doesn’t agree. I’ve been waiting to see what readers are going to be the best and best prices. Thanks, Sue

  126. Booklover1335 Says:

Like Melissa and QuiltLady I too have Kindle lust. I’ve been looking at the Nook but it doesn’t seem to be getting good reader reviews. My TBR is out of control at that’s just my actual paper books, but if all of my new books were digital then they could all be stored together and available at my fingertips. I like that aspect. Though I do think I would miss the actual book covers. They are always so much more spectacular in person than on the computer or a digital device. And there is the comfort of holding a paperback while reading too…I guess I’m still torn. It’s the storage aspect of the digital reader that is so appealing to book hoarders..I mean booklovers like myself :)

  127. Barbara Elness Says:

I have so many books that I haven’t read yet, getting a Kindle or other e-reader isn’t high on my list of priorities. And there’s just something about holding the book in my hands that I still love. But I think in the future, I’ll probably end up getting one, just because of the ease of having a lot of books in one place - because that’s one thing I am running out of - space!

  128. MichelleK Says:

Eternal Hunter, Wicked Enchantment, and King of the Unblessed are all on my wishlist!

I prefer print books but would like to get an e-reader too for all those books I can’t get in print format (very frustrating that!) I can’t decide which one though. It would be nice if you could try before you buy. There are issues I have with ereaders/ebooks though and I think I will always prefer the print format.

  129. Ann Aguirre Says:

Okay, I’m hitting the reset button! We had our third winner, which means I still will be picking six names yet. Great books still in the pool!

  130. MaryK Says:

You can try, to a limited extent, the Sony and Nook before you buy them. Target and Sony Stores should have the Sony reader and B&N carries the Nook. You’re out of luck on Kindle, though. If you hunt around on the internet, you can find some good ereader comparisons.

  131. Jane Says:

Congrats, Joder. I still prefer print books, too.

  132. Mary G Says:

OMG I still have a chance at Coming Undone!!
Congrats Joder. Happy New Year everyone.

  133. Cheryl McInnis Says:

@Jeanette- I’ve read every one of Cynthia’s books so far and really liked them. I think if you enjoy really steamy and fast-paced paranormals, you’ll love Cynthia’s books!

  134. Tez Miller Says:

A pal in New Zealand says that the best way for her to read eBooks is on her iPhone. Mind you, you’ve got to be able to afford an iPhone first, so my days of eReading are so far into the future that unfortunately I can’t see them happening in the next few years

Thus I declare that print books will always be my favourite type of book!

  135. elaing8 Says:

    Congrats Joder

King of the Unblessed sounds like a good book.

    Happy New Year everyone!!

  136. Jeanette Juan Says:

Thanks Melissa & Cheryl M.!!! Now I’ve definitely made up my mind about starting to read her books! Happy New Year everyone!

  137. Amy Kathryn Says:

Congratulations to the winners…I am glad that Coming Undone is still available though!

A woman in my office has the kindle so I got to play with it a little. It is nice but I hate being pretty much locked into one system. I also really like the idea of getting books from the library. I don’t think I will ever give up print books but I travel enough to really like the idea of having a “reading room” with me that won’t add to the weight of my bags.

  138. Cheryl McInnis Says:

I don’t think I’ve ever read Carrie Lofty before…I just recently got back into reading historicals again. I find that they are so much more intriguing, and way sexier than they were even a few years ago-Thank Goodness

  139. Joder Says:

OMG, thank you so much! Sending my info now.

  140. Donna S Says:

Congrats Joder. The e-reader debate is so complex. I really love print books. But would really love to not have to carry so many when I go out of town for a week. But while at home I really cant see myself using one. I know of one person that has one though a friend and she loves it. I kind of like the ability on a I-touch/phone. But I see the point of the screen being so small too. So many choices. I guess for the moment I will just keep reading the reviews. Although as it stands if I went to buy one it would be between the Sony and the Kindle. Havent seen much about the Nook to impress me yet.

  141. Linda Henderson Says:

I’m still hoping for Coming Undone. I’ve heard such great things about it, I would love to read it. Congratulations to the winners.

  142. Armenia Says:

I’m waiting on SWITCH and COMING UNDONE and so many more books!!

So Many choices. I would love a chance to read each one.

  143. Booklover1335 Says:

Congrats to Joder! And thanks for not picking the book I would like to have (even though Stranger’s Secrets is also on my wish list).

Thought I would start a new topic here if that is ok? Who’s the one author that everyone says you should be reading that you haven’t tried yet? I ask because 2009 was the year where all of my fav reads came from new to me authors so what else am I missing out on?

  144. iokijo Says:

    Congrats on the win Joder..
King of the Unblessed & Coming undone still up.. yeah

Booklover.. There isn’t just one. I’ve started shying away from checking review sites routinely because my I want it list was becoming depressing. Was going to take several years to get even part of them.
I would have to say the author I’ve seen the most general comments on is S. Meyers.. Twilight. While initially I wanted to read them, the more I hear about them from readers that like the same authors I do the less interested I am. Sounds like they are a good read for someone who hasn’t read many para., or read any of the current paranormals out.. but not really up to all the hype.

  145. kh Says:

    wtg winners

  146. Pam P Says:

Congrats, Joder, and Happy New Year, everyone!

Jeanette, try Cynthia Eden, you will not be disappointed. I couldn’t wait, and just got Eternal Hunger to read. Next one on my list is Anya Bast.

  147. Miranda Says:

iokijo: I hear what you are saying about not wanting to read any more reviews. I get hooked enough when I enter a contest and read the blurb, but that’s the point right?! Then if I don’t win the contest I have to add it to my TBR pile… lol or my To Be Bought list… when am I getting that lottery check? *wink* Now if the lottery check AND Switch came in the mail together… well I think that just might make my year!

  148. Tracey D Says:

    Eternal Hunter looks good.

    Thanks

  149. Booklover1335 Says:

    Hey Iokijo,
I read the Twilight series and enjoyed them. Are they are on my keeper shelf…no, because I probably will never reread them but I did like how she made her vampires unique. I liked how she explained why vampires shun the sun, but then again I am glitter freak. They weren’t a waste of time, but if you have books that you’ve been dying to read I’d put those before this series.

But what other books did you read in 2009 that blew you away? It’s not like I need more books in my TBR and wish list, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out on great reads after discovering so many new authors in 2009. Lay it on me, I think I can handle it

p.s. and Miranda I am with you a lottery check and Switch together would definitely make my year :!:

  150. Amy Kathryn Says:

@Booklover…I am going to admit that I have not read any Kinsale yet even though she is on many lists of favorites so that is my first reading resolution for 2010. New to me in 2009 that I really enjoyed were Kathryne Kennedy’s Relics of Merlin series, Loretta Chase (I know, I know..I have been in a reading cave it seems), Cynthia Eden’s Midnight Books, and Jess Granger.

I agree with many others that my TBR pile only seems to get bigger as I read reviews and see other’s comments!

  151. elaing8 Says:

I’ve read another review for wicked enchantment.Everyone is really liking this book.I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy.

  152. Cheryl McInnis Says:

Wicked Enchantment does sound really good-I loved Anya’s Elemental Witches series and can’t wait to see what she does for the Fae!

  153. iokijo Says:

Miranda I hear you on the lottery check.. hum.. somebody just won a big power ball not that far from here.. wonder if they would make a “buy the wishlist” donation.. lol
I actually glad the holidays are over.. more time to read!

  154. Armenia Says:

Okay, I love me a cowboy romance, too!! Yay!!

  155. Armenia Says:

Oh, did I mention I can’t wait for Brody’s story in COMING UNDONE.

  156. Melissa Says:

I just ordered Coming Undone…lol, couldn’t resist! Amazon has it for $10.20, plus free s/h w/ Prime, so I HAD to!!

I’m about 1/3 of the way through Eternal Hunter….it’s kickin’ ASS!! I love it, can’t wait to get back to it, lol. Thank you, Cynthia!!

And I have to say that I still love my paper books, too…don’t think I could ever give them up entirely. I love the smell, look, feel of them too much…but there are alot of books that I don’t keep, and that are in my TBR mountain, that I could get in eBook and save myself so MUCH space. I buy mostly eBooks now that I can’t get in paperback, mostly from Samhain and Ellora’s Cave, because Fictionwise takes SO long for some books to be released as E that I can’t wait. That’s alot of the Kindle lust…their books are instantly available.
I’ve read some bad things about the Nook, too…I’m hoping they’ll correct these things quickly, because it sounds really great…especially w/ them saying they’re going to offer in store bonuses and deals if you bring your Nook into the store. Sound cool!!

  157. Diane M. Says:

I tested the Nook at my local B&N and I thought it was slower turning the page so hopefully that will be faster when they do software updates.

  158. Ann Aguirre Says:

And reset! Five more winners incoming.

  159. Mary G Says:

Oh my!! You’re killing me here. This is the book version of musical chairs LOL. What a “novel” idea. I’m still waiting on Coming Undone then. Congrats Booklover1335.

  160. Lillie A Says:

Brody! I need me some Brody! *g*

  161. Belinda Bullock Says:

I cannot wait to read Coming Undone!

  162. Ann Aguirre Says:

Hehe, yes, it is pretty fun, isn’t it? Just to clarify, these books are still in the pool:

    Coming Undone
    Wicked Enchantment
    Eternal Hunter
    King of the Unblessed
    Scoundrel’s Kiss

So your comments hereafter should tell me which one you want out of those remaining. You can also have other content in your post of course. I just need to know your choice as well.

  163. Donna B Says:

I have never tested a nook never mind any other type of ereader but i am desperate to own one. When i go on holiday i can get through 5 or 6 books which adds quite a bit weight to my case. If i had an ereader i could take as many as i wanted all without the added weight meaning more clothes to wear LOL

    Fingers crossed xx

  164. Erin T Says:

I want Coming Undone!!! I love Lauren Dane’s books! This was a tough choice though, I also adore Cynthia Eden.

  165. Donna B Says:

Oh dear posted before your post of book names came through so my choice would be coming undone but i wouldbe over the moon to win any of there fantastic books.

    xx

  166. Amy Kathryn Says:

I way prefer this to musical chairs…it is easier on my lap! Still trying for Coming Undone!

  167. Barbara Elness Says:

I’d love to win Eternal Hunter. Of course I’d love any of the others as well, but that’s my pick.
Congrats to all the winners so far.

  168. limecello Says:

Ooo I’d love to have Eternal Hunter -seems to be a popular one. :) Whoever gets Coming Undone is one lucky reader! And congratulations to Joder and Carrie too :D I’m sure she’s thrilled she got Switch ;)

  169. Jackie Burris Says:

I would love love love the Michelle M Pillow book simply because she is a new author for me and love to try new works…

Congrats to all the previous winners, those are some seriously good reads!!!

  170. Veronica Says:

Wonderful contest. Would love to win Coming Undone!!

  171. The Book Vixen Says:

All these books look so good! They’re so hot

  172. Bella Says:

Ann! This is so incredibly generous of you! Thanks! And Brrr, do we ever need something to warm us up here in the Northeast! It is bitter cold!

I have to say it would be very hard to pick! I’ve heard amazing things about Cynthia’s book, I love Anya’s series, and OMG, I cannot WAIT to read Coming Undone. Love everything Lauren writes and Laid Bare was my fav ever!

My only question is this. Where’s the Ann/Ava book? :-)

Congrats to the winners so far!

  173. Ann Aguirre Says:

“My only question is this. Where’s the Ann/Ava book?”

These books are all releasing in January. I don’t have any January releases. Next year I’ll have a couple of books coming out at this time. So enjoy this books and put Hell Fire on your schedule for April. :)

  174. Donna S Says:

    Congrats winners!!

Im still hoping for Wicked Enchantment or Eternal Hunter. But they all look great. And Hell Fire is definitely on my list for April. All great writers on this site.

  175. Mama Kitty Says:

It’s really hard to choose between “Switch”, “Coming Undone”, and “Crux”, since I have everything written by Megan Hart, Lauren Dane, and Moira Rogers. But because Megan Hart is my absolute most favorite author on the planet, I’m DYING to read “Switch”.

  176. Melissa Says:

 I want Anya’s Wicked Enchantment~~ and let me tell you how awesome Eternal Hunter IS~~ I need me some Jude!!

  177. barbara Says:

would love to get Wicked Enchantment

  178. iokijo Says:

    Congrats Booklover…
Looks like my first picks are still up for grabs..Coming Undone,King of the Unblessed,Wicked Enchantment.. crossing fingers & toes..
More books for my wish list.. would really like one to be on the I have it list though.. lol

  179. Cheryl McInnis Says:

Congrats Booklover1335, Switch sounds awesome and I know you’ll enjoy it
Hmmm, I think my choice now would be Wicked Enchantment, but any of these remaining books would be a great read!

  180. Fedora Says:

Woot! I’d love to read Coming Undone–just got Laid Bare, and I remember reading about the heroine in Coming Undone; she sounded pretty interesting, plus I love connections in the books in a series!

  181. Amy Kathryn Says:

I am with you, Fedora. I am so ready for Coming Undone. I am even ready for the next book, Inside Out, in November (but I am not greedy or impatient ;) ). I like connected books because you get new characters and or situations but you often get at least glimpses of people you came to care about in a former story.

  182. Amanda Says:

How come I didn’t hear about this contest before! I think I might go for Coming Undone too!

  183. Bella Says:

Oh, Hell Fire is on my must buy list! So, in the absence of an Ann/Ava book, I’m still holding out for Wicked Enchantment, Coming Undone and Eternal Hunter!

    Thanks Ann!

  184. Jane Says:

I would like “Scoundrel’s Kiss.” I’ve never read any of Carrie’s books.

  185. kh Says:

    wtg winners
would love ann obook or laurne dane whoo

  186. MichelleK Says:

Amy said: I like connected books because you get new characters and or situations but you often get at least glimpses of people you came to care about in a former story.

Me too Amy! I really like it when the characters cross over into each other’s books

  187. Linda Henderson Says:

I would still love to win Coming Undone. I’ve really been looking forward to reading it. Congratulations to all the winners.

  188. Ivy Says:

King of the Unblessed, I always like to start w/ the first. Congrats to the winners..
    Ivy

  189. Diana Dang Says:

Wicked Enchantment looks pretty awesome! Faeries are not seen often in paranormal world. :)

  190. Anna Shah Hoque Says:

Four Play is a MUST READ on my list. I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

  191. Jackie Burris Says:

Since have seen that it is not gone yet still would like to have a copy of King Of The Unblessed by Michelle Pillow, have not read her work and always love to start a series with first book if possible. Here is hoping that get my hot little mitts on it soon…

    Jackie B Central Texas

  192. Ann Aguirre Says:

    And reset!

Btw, for the people who keep naming Four Play, you guys apparently haven’t read anything on this post. Tsk.

  193. Joder Says:

Congrats Booklover1335! And an author that I keep hearing great things about, but haven’t tried yet (even my sister keeps recommending her) is Molly Harper’s vamp series. I’ll eventually get to them, but so many authors, so little time.

  194. Mary G Says:

    Congrats & enjoy Amy.
Ann - Thanks for the fun.

  195. Melissa Says:

Joder ~~ I have a couple of Molly’s books in my TBR, but haven’t read them yet. I’ve heard great things about them, and she’s a local author for me, so of course I buy her books. I have to move them up the pile!! Ugh, I need more hours to read in my day, lol.
Another author who I LOVE w/ her world of others is Christine Warren. Got hooked on her back in her Ellora’s Cave days, and love the humor and wit she writes with. Makes me think of Shelly Laurenston, in a way.
And have you ever really stopped and tried to think of any paranormal books that AREN’T connected to a series in some way? There really aren’t that many out there. We did this on a list I’m on, and we couldn’t come up w/ very many. Even if they’re not directly connected, they’re still part of a connected world. Which I love, because I’m familiar with it, so not as much world building has to be done.

  196. Anna Shah Hoque Says:

Actually, the widget wasn’t showing up all this time so I thought all the titles on the side were what everyone was talking about.

I’ve got all of Cynthia’s books on my buy list…Eternal Hunter looks amazing!

  197. Melissa Says:

Anna ~~ it IS!! I love Jude ~~ and I really like the way Cynthia keeps the breed of her shifters secretive. You have to read the books to find out what they are, and even then you usually have to wait until you’re into the book. I love it, and am always thrilled w/ what they turn out to be!!

  198. Jane Says:

I’ve been checking out Carrie’s site. I guess I’ll be adding her previous release to my list of books to buy.

  199. MichelleK Says:

I keep hearing good reviews about the Molly Harper books. I have the first two and need to push those them up to the top of the TBR pile.

  200. Ann Aguirre Says:

Btw Booklover 1335 has NOT yet claimed her prize. If she doesn’t email me by the time all the other prizes are awarded, I will re-draw for Switch.

  201. MichelleK Says:

Melissa said: Cynthia keeps the breed of her shifters secretive. You have to read the books to find out what they are..

I just finished Hotter after Midnight and noticed that it took a long time to reveal his breed. It drove me nuts! But it was a good nuts :) At least I know what is in store for me with the rest of the series. I’ve read two of her books so far and really enjoyed them. Eternal Hunter is one of my choices and still available so far… here’s wishing me luck ;)

  202. Donna S Says:

    Congrats Amy!

And I agree with you about connected books. I love reading about characters for previous books even if they only make a appearance. You at least still feel some connection to them and what happens after their main story has concluded.

  203. Diane M. Says:

Coming Undone but I would love any of them.

  204. Cheryl McInnis Says:

I was just at my local bookstore and noticed Switch and Wicked Enchantment on the shelf. I almost took them home, but I might buy the ebooks for my reader instead, that way my husband won’t notice ;-) . He just doesn’t understand how I can spend so much money on books when I work at a library- Men!

  205. Donna B Says:

I would choose Coming Undone if i was lucky enough to win but i think it may be gone now so my next chouse would be Wicked Enchantment.

    Fingers crossed xx

  206. Melissa Says:

Ooh, congrats to all the winners!! Some awesome books still left in the pool…HA…Anya’s is still up!! I want!!

All this talk about eReaders has me SO itchy for a new one. Or a Netbook. Hmm…you could have kindle for PC on a net book, and read on it, and still be able to surf the web, check email, blogs…and for only about $50 more. I bought my daughter a Dell Mini for Christmas…I LOVE it. I think I want one for ME, lol.

  207. Pam P Says:

Congrats Booklover. Still hoping now for Wicked Enchantment, want to meet Anya’s Fae.

  208. Melissa Says:

    Wicked Enchantment
    King of the Unblessed
    Scoundrel’s Kiss

I don’t have ANY of these yet…and want to read them ALL! I’m almost done w/ Eternal Hunter…lol, I need to quit playing and go finish Jude!!

Squee! Thank you Ann! I emailed you. What a nice way to start my Monday :) Neat contest too, it is kinda like musical chairs.

  217. Cheryl McInnis Says:

Congrats Michelle! It is a neat contest~
I still have my fingers crossed for Wicked Enchantment, checking in will give me a break from cleaning my daughter’s room. I swear she has more Barbies than Walmart :!:

  218. Miranda Says:

King of the Unblessed sounds nice and dark for me… a good match to this cold weather we have been having in northern NY.

    Congratulations to all the winners!

  219. Melissa Says:

I want Wicked Enchantment ~~ I can’t wait to read it!! I don’t have any of the three left ~~ but I DID finish Eternal Hunter, and it was OMG great!! I can’t wait for the next Night Watch story!

  220. Linda Henderson Says:

I am still interested in Scoundrel’s Kiss. I haven’t read any of her books before, but I love reading new to me authors. You can’t help but love a book with Scoundrel in the title. Such a bad boy description. I have to admit, I like my bad boys.

  221. Bella Says:

Wow! Congrats to all the winners! I’m surprised at what’s left, cause I still would LOVE to get my hands on Wicked Enchantment :-)

Thanks for all the fun, Ann!

Congrats to all the winners so far and thanks again Ann for the chance to win book to read, like everyone else who hates the cold snaps we keep getting it will help to keep my mind off the weather…
I would still love to win the new series first book King Of The Unblessed by Michelle and have my fingers crossed accordingly. Love the other selections but this one is still my number one pick because never read her work…

  223. Arantza Says:

The 3 books left are hard to choose from, any of the 3 would be great. Hmm I’ve had King of the Unblessed since it first came out in ebook.. so
Wicked Enchantment .. [until it's won that is..lol]

  225. elaing8 Says:

    Congrats to the winners.

only 3 books left? I am still dying to read Wicked Enchantment

  226. Jackie Burris Says:

Okay looks like we still have a chance and still really want to read the first book in the series by Michelle so am going to once again put it out there that really want King Of The Unblessed and sure hope get picked…

    Jackie B Central Texas

  227. Diane M. Says:

I’m puting King of the Unblessed on my list to buy.

  228. Jane Says:

I definitely want to read Scoundrels’ Kiss, but I’m also looking forward to Anya’s Wicked Enchantment.

  229. Donna B Says:

Like quite a few of the others that have commented i would love to own an ereader. Having one would make my life so much easier as it would mean i could read wherever i went.

I would be grateful to win any of the books but if i have to name one then it would be

    Scoundrel’s Kiss

Thanks for running this wonderful giveaway.

Congrats to all the winners so far, enjoy your books

    Good luck Everyone xx

  230. Armenia Says:

I would love to win any of the books above. Thanks for the giveaway. I have heard a lot of Scoundrel’s Kiss.

  231. Donna S Says:

    Congrats Michelle.

Anyone have an opinion on netbook vs e-reader?

They seem kind of comparable in price. And you can surf the web on the netbook. But is it as convenient for reading?

  232. MaryK Says:

@Donna S - “Anyone have an opinion on netbook vs e-reader?

They seem kind of comparable in price. And you can surf the web on the netbook. But is it as convenient for reading?”

I have a Sony e-reader and plan to get a netbook when they come out with the perfect one. I think reading on a netbook would be okay if 1) the netbook isn’t heavy and 2) the display will rotate so you can hold it like a book.

One major difference, though, is the type of screen. The e-ink screens on e-readers are easier on the eyes than LCD computer screens. If backlighting gives you eyestrain, you’d probably be happier with an e-ink screen.

  233. Cheryl McInnis Says:

Donna S, I prefer my Sony reader because it is much more mobile than even a netbook. It slips into my purse and I can whip it out at the doctor’s office, DMV line-up, lunch room at work etc….and it holds a charge for days. Not sure about the netbook’s charge

  234. Ann Aguirre Says:

Reset! Two more winners to go.

Wicked Enchantment and King of the Unblessed remain. Which book will make it to the final round?

  235. MaryK Says:

@Cheryl McInnis - Good point about the netbook battery. I think the really good netbook batteries last about 6 hours.

  236. Donna B Says:

Cheryl i have been looking at the Sony Reader but hadn’t heard anyone else mention it so i am glad to see mention it here. I like the fact that it can hold a charge as this was something i had been wondering. I am so glad you have posted as it has been good to hear someone recommend the Sony.

Only two books to go, again i would be so chuffed to win any of them but as i have to choose one it will be the first in line so that is

    Wicked Enchantment.

Congrats to all the winners so far, i am sure you are going to love reading your chosen book. xx

  237. Cheryl McInnis Says:

I’m still crossing these fingers for Wicked Enchantment too, LOL

Donna, I really like my Sony. I wasn’t sure if I would at first, but I wouldn’t give it up now for anything. The bookshelf space it clears up makes it worth the purchase price in itself

    Congrats Jane!

  238. Jackie Burris Says:

   I am going to win King of The Unblessed, just know it is mine and all of the winners of the other books you are doing well and happy reading to you…

    Jackie B Central Texas

  239. Donna B Says:

Wicked Enchantment would be my chosen book.

Cheryl, it is the weight of my handbag that would make having an one worth it. I often carry two around with me, one i am reading & another incase i finish the first LOL

    Good Luck Everyone xx

  240. Dina Says:

ok I feel stupid, I forgot to reply earlier. So joining in now, better then later.

    King of the Unblessed

  241. elaing8 Says:

    Congrats Jane

Ms. Aguirre you are gonna leave my Wicked Enchantment until the end aren’t you

  242. Donna S Says:

    Congrats Jane.

Thanks for the opinions. I didnt realize they had different screen types. I get tired of staring at a computer screen as it is. Reading on a netbook might be a bit much.

  243. Linda Henderson Says:

Well I’m going for Wicked Enchantment this time. E-readers are such a hot topic now. I really hope they don’t replace print books, I love the feel of a real book in my hands.

  244. Jane Says:

    Thank you.

  245. iokijo Says:

    Congrats Jane
    Oh man.. only 2 left
Sticking with Wicked Enchantment.. I haven’t read it yet, and it’s getting lots of recommendations.

  246. Pam P Says:

Getting ready to start reading Eternal Hunger, and hoping still Wicked Enchantment has my name on it, lol.

  247. Miranda Says:

King of the Unblessed still sounds uber hot!

I don’t think the ereader will ever completely replace real books. I like the feel of paper between my hands much better… and I don’t need batteries or electricity (most of the time)!

  248. Diane M. Says:

I still like King of the Unblessed since I’ve already have Wicked Enchantment.

  249. Melissa Says:

    I want Wicked Enchantment!!
And I bought my daughter a Dell Mini Inspiron for Christmas ~~ and OMG, I LOVE it. I’m thinking I could really use one of these for an eReader, plus I’d be able to read my email, surf the web, check my blogs, etc. I paid $328 for it, so it’s not THAT much more than a Kindle ~~ and I could have the Kindle for PC app on it, so I’d still my books instantly. Probably the most prohibitive thing I can think of is I couldn’t just pop it into my purse and take it along…I’d have to carry it’s case, too, which even though it’s pretty light, would kind of be a pain. AND the battery life is no where near what a Kindle is…of course, you’re using it for way more things, but still, you’d have to have an outlet handy after about 6 hours. Hmmm…lol, I’ve really been arguing w/ myself over this since I’ve begun to play w/ my daughter’s.

  250. Michelle Santiago Says:

i want to read King of the Unblessed! but i wouldn’t mind reading Wicked Enchantment either… AHH! 2 more

  251. Ann Aguirre Says:

Final reset! Wicked Enchantment still in play. Go for it, folks!

  252. Bella Says:

Congrats Jane! Squee - Wicked Enchantment is still up there. Keeping my fingers crossed :-)

Congrats to all the authors on their fabulous releases, and thanks to Ann for the awesome giveaway!

  253. Bella Says:

Whoa, Miranda! Way to go!!! You were winning while I was typing.

And I am so very happy that Wicked Enchantment is still available! I am so hoping!

  254. Donna B Says:

Wicked Enchantment would be just perfect for introducing me to a brand new author.

I would like to thank everyone who have posted about ebook readers as you have given me a great insight as to what i should be looking for when i buy one.

Thanks also to all the authors who donated their books & also to Ann for running this giveaway.

Finally congrats to all the lucky winners xxx

  255. Cheryl McInnis Says:

Hmm, wonder what I’ll choose….
Fingers crossed for Wicked Enchantment one last time!
    Congrats to all the winners!

  256. Linda Henderson Says:

I would love to win Wicked Enchantment. I’m amazed it hasn’t been grabbed already. It deserves a good home. My house would be great.

  257. Connie Bryant Says:

Hi! Any of these books looks fantastic to read. My pick for sure would be Skin Game. This is a great website. :)

  258. Donna S Says:

Last one, wonder who it will be. It has been fun though.

  259. Jackie Burris Says:

I have had so much pleasure reading all the entries and learning that there are just as many people out there who love books as hoped there would be, for all you E-Reader types shame shame shame…..

  260. MaryK Says:

No matter what you use for an ebook reader, you should absolutely get the software program Calibre to organize your ebooks. Best program ever!

    It’s currently a free program at http://calibre-ebook.com/

  261. Donna B Says:

Wicked Enchantment would be just perfect for introducing me to a brand new author.

MaryK thank you for the name & link to Calibre software, it is good to have a recommende software too. For once i am going to be clued up when i go to buy one. Thanks to all the lovely people here.

Well done to all the winners xx

  262. iokijo Says:

Congrats Miranda… you love this story.
I have a bunch of M. Pillow ebooks.. the Dragon Lords & Lords of Var are fantastic..

Keeping fingers crossed for Wicked Enchantment. It’s on my wishlist, but from all the comments I’d rather it be on by I have list.

Thanks for the software heads up MaryK.. will have to check it out.

  263. iokijo Says:

    Jackie B .. why shame?
For anyone with vision problems ebooks can give them the chance to read easily again.. the font can be increased where it can’t on paper books.. they are what allowed me to start reading again after 20yrs of not being able to.
Plus if you don’t have the living space to store a bunch of books, you can still have a large library.. and use what space is available for best keepers..
I like paper books too.. they let me introduce friends/family to new authors.. which is taboo with ebooks.

  264. Jackie Burris Says:

        Hey there Iokijo, not putting e-readers down so much as saying it is just not the same as a “real live book”. I have had friends who work as medical records transcribers who are “Legally Blind” and bet you if they read it is on an E-reader so hear you when you say it is a good thing for someone with vision problems. I am going to be there someday myself as my eyes are extremely near sighted and getting worse as time passes. The computer screen is already a problem if the background is a dark one and reading very long periods of time in the small print of most of the paperbacks I read is pretty much eyestrain guaranteed daily…
I apologize if seem to be making light of something that is a good technology, am just an old book fiend who cannot seem to fall in love with a piece of electronics that carries books to read inside with no page turning involved physically.
I too love to share paperbacks with others as a way to introduce books because reading is and always will be such a huge part of my life…
