If you didn’t know, I finished the second Corine Solomon book last week. Since then, I’ve been relaxing. What kinds of things have I done?
Well, I read an ARC of Eve Kenin’s Hidden. It’s so fabulous! What a follow-up to Driven. I’m hoping there will be more books set in this world because I am completely hooked. Now I’m about partway through an ARC of His Wicked Sins, my first foray into her Eve Silver titles. It’s gothic and atmospheric so far, and I’m digging it.
I’ve watched Futurama, hung out with my family, and played Mass Effect on Xbox 360. I so cannot wait for the sequel. This weekend I didn’t do anything I didn’t absolutely have to do. Since it was Mother’s Day weekend, my family couldn’t even argue. I got a bottle of Mediterranean Breeze by Elizabeth Arden and cards from the kids. Alek made me a picture frame that he painted himself. All in all, it was very relaxing.
How was your weekend? What did you get for Mother’s Day?
PS- If you didn’t know, I’m running a contest over on my blog. The prizes are awesome, and this is the most important contest I’ll run all year.

I’ve got an ARC of Hidden, too, but haven’t yet read it. I loved Driven and am so excited that those who have read Hidden already are raving about it. I love that world Eve has created, too!
My 13 yr. old daughter gave me a beautiful pottery vase that she hand crafted, glazed and fired in art class at school. She presented it to me filled with shades of red baby roses. She even sprinkled rose petals on the table where it was surrounded by a yummy breakfast that she, my 9 yr. old daughter and my husband prepared for us. It was a really sweet morning. My 9 year old bought me a few annuals at her school’s plant sale last week … with the money I gave her! LOLOL And a homemade card. So cute.

I had a nice weekend, relaxing/trying to recover from finals. My sleep schedule is all messed up. I didn’t get anything for Mother’s Day - but I did get my mom tea roses.

I just finished reading Hidden too, and as I expected, I really liked it! I’m hoping maybe we’ll get Yuriko’s story next!
As for Mother’s Day, my parents were visiting me in celebration of my commencement, which was Friday. I’m a poor graduate student (yeah, still—I went through the ceremony, but won’t be defending my dissertation until the fall), but I gave my mom a poem which made her cry. That’s a good thing, I think.

I haven’t read anything by Eve Silver/Eve Kenin, but have been wanting to get at least one to try her out–several people whose tastes I trust have been raving about her.
