Anyone want an advance copy of What Happens in Vegas…After Dark? It doesn’t release until May 1st.

To enter, tell me about your favorite romantic couple in the comments. They could be from a book, a movie, history. Wherever. Tell me why they’ve captured your imagination.
And if this doesn’t whet your appetite for contests, you can mosey over to my blog. I have a big one going on over there with over $150 in prizes.

I adore Jane Austen’s couples, especially Darcy and Elizabeth and Knightley and Emma. There is just something so delicious about seeing them work within the constraints of society to express their feelings for one another - and to watch how those feelings change over the course of the story.

Good Morning Anya:
Thank you so much for the contest. Favorite romantic couple? That is a tough one, but I would have to say Ediolon and Tayla from Larissa Ione’s book Pleasure Unbound. The tortured hero (demon) and heroine who is a demon slayer really captured my imagination and heart.
Best Regards

My favorite romantic couple would have to be Marge and Homer Simpson. They’ve been married over 20 years, dealt with some HUGE issues, havn’t aged a day since we’ve seen them and are successfully raising three kids!
He deals with her crazy sisters and Marge deals with Homer’s wild ideas. Perfect relationship!

My favorite couple was from The notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Loved the scene in the movie when they kissed on the dock in the rain!

Archie and Edith Bunker for sure. They reminded me so much of my own grandparents, with a very complicated romance/marriage that no outsider could ever understand. But when Edith died, wow, we saw how much Archie really loved his “dingbat”. I think that was the first time I ever cried watching a TV show

My favorite romantic couple is Eve and Roarke from the In Death series.

I’m with Donna, my favorite couple is Eve and Roarke. I love the way their relationship is evolving, as they learn about love and how to be a couple. The tenderness and quiet moments with each other is just as fascinating as watching the murder story unfold.

Ethel and Norman Thayer, better known as Katharine Hepburn and Henry Fonda in On Golden Pond.

My favorite romantic couple is definitely Adam and Mercy from the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. After that it would have to be Buttercup and Wesley.
April 14th, 2009 at 5:50 pm
Georgina and Seth from the Succubus series by Richelle Mead. They’re almost star-crossed lovers. It can never happen….
April 14th, 2009 at 6:00 pm
OOOOOOHHHH Me, too! I would love an ARC of this book as well. My favorite couple is Gwen Cassidy and Drustan MacKeltar from “Kiss of the Highlander” by Karen Marie Moning. Humor and sensuality is always a winning combination.

I’m too anchored in the real world. My couples are Joanne Woodward/Paul Newman, Kyra Sedgewick/Kevin Bacon, and Ekaterina Gordeeva/Sergei Grinkov.

I adore Futurama’s Lurr and Ndnd, Rulers of the planet Omicron Persei 8. I love their witty banter!
Usually in fiction when couples exchange witty banter, it’s of a sexual nature. But when Lurr and Ndnd do it, it’s very clever insulting. This is what real couples do - argue

I think one of my all time romantic couples is Spencer Tracey and Katherine Hepburn. I love movies such as The Desk Set, Adam’s Rib, and Pat and Mike. I have read sooo many books that I just couldn’t pick a favorite couple, because I love them all! I really would love to win a copy of this book so I can read about a few more romantic couples. Thanks for holding the contest.

Hi Anya~
I would love a chance to win this. Oh, so many great couples…I love Johnny and Baby from Dirty Dancing, but I would probaly have to go with Holly Golightly and “Fred” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s or Regina and Peter/Carson/Adam (Cary Grant’s character) from Charade or Terry and Nickie from An Affair To Remember. Okay, I will stop…I really love old movies.
Thanks for the great contest.

Jamie and Claire from Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series. No contest. Their whole relationship spans 200 years and even after 20 years apart they are still ridiculously in love with each other. Love it.

I loved “What Happens in Vegas”, and I can’t wait for the release of this one! My favorite couple is probably Judd and Brenna from Nalini Singh’s “Caressed by Ice”. She’s the only person who can break through his shell, and he helps her heal..it’s one of my favorite novels.

I love bones and cat fron Jeannine Frost Grave series. They are very snarky but and very much in love too lol.
April 17th, 2009 at 12:44 pm
It has to be Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Their romance has spanned decades and bucked tradition to be with each other.
April 17th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
Sorry my foremost favorite romantic couple is from a role play plus story I’m writing with a friend (Rhaedayel and Eriea)
But since no one knows that, I would have to say Marianne and Garette in Deborah Martin’s By Love Unveiled
