Saturday I learned that MALE CALL had won the novella category in the Passionate Plume Award given out by the Passionate Ink Chapter of Romance Writers of America. Earlier this year, when I learned I was a finalist, I was amazed. To win really threw me for a loop. This year I’ve made certain to celebrate contest finals, finishing manuscripts, publication of novels, you name it. I’d gotten in the habit of forgetting to celebrate these events. So how did I celebrate the award this time? A bottle of champagne and a mint chocolate Three Musketeers. Yum!
