I have an ARC of my upcoming (April 09) paranormal romance, IMMORTAL DANGER, that I would love to give away to a commenter.
Here’s the blurb (in case you were curious):
BEING BULLET PROOF SUCKS—LITERALLY
Once, Maya Black was a kick-ass cop patrolling the streets of L.A. She still keeps the city safe, but nowadays her bad guys of choice include demons, werewolves, and assorted nocturnal scum. Something Maya knows a thing or two about. She’s a vampire—and not thrilled about it. Payback meet bitch.
Adam Brody hopes Maya is as dangerous as they say she is. He needs her to help rescue his niece Cammie from a ruthless band of vamps, and he’s willing to pay—in blood. Trusting her is another matter. Adam has never met a vampire who doesn’t lie. Then again, he’s never met anyone like Maya, who fills him with a desperate need that ignites into explosive, no-holds-barred encounters…

Sounds like a great book!
I spent New Year’s Eve at home with a few friends. We have a party almost every year. Its declined since most of my friends have kids, but we still had 6 adults and 3 kids and it was fun!
January 7th, 2009 at 6:21 am
I’m so boring - I spent New Year’s Eve alone because one daughter was out with friends and the other was online with friends. So it was just me and my cheeseball and crackers! Love your book cover, it’s pretty hot. the book sounds intriguing.
January 7th, 2009 at 8:21 am
Listening to music and watching videos online, while talking with my mother and knitting.
Talk about lowkey!
January 7th, 2009 at 8:26 am
We watched movies.
January 7th, 2009 at 9:40 am
Well, ladies, I think you all beat me. My husband dragged me downtown because there was supposed to be this big “Moonpie Over Mobile” event. The moonpie (a giant, electrical one) was supposed to rise up over the city at midnight. Um, it rose late and it didn’t rise all the way–and it was really, really cold.
LOL. Next year, I’m staying at home and watching Supernatural re-runs!
January 7th, 2009 at 9:58 am
We stayed home, ate pizza, drank beer and watched the hockey game….that’s how Canadians celebrate New Years!
January 7th, 2009 at 10:32 am
That’s too bad Cynthia! I went to a house party and sang and danced unti 3 in the morning…and yeah, the hockey game was on…our juniors were playing! (they won the gold medal BTW)
January 7th, 2009 at 12:14 pm
We stayed home and had a late dinner of lobster. Unfortunately I fell asleep long before midnight!
January 7th, 2009 at 12:58 pm
Hiya Cynthia. I spent a wonderful New Years with my husband, my 3 kids, and some great friends. We had a nerf gun fight and then let off poppers with streamers at midnight.
January 7th, 2009 at 1:20 pm
I had a terrible head cold and spent the night home by myself watching The Ghost Whisperer Season one!
January 7th, 2009 at 1:24 pm
It was a quiet nite for us, we stayed home and had crab salads and champagne and watched the movie Wanted.
January 7th, 2009 at 1:27 pm
I spent my New Years reading a good book!
January 7th, 2009 at 2:03 pm
I spent New Year’s Eve at home watching the ball drop on tv. It was too cold to go out.
January 7th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
Oh t’was very exciting here @ the Addams Family Manor. I spent the evening watching the TWILIGHT ZONE marathon on the SciFi channel while Gomez snored on the sofa and Morticia dozed on the love seat. Viva 2009! Hee!
January 7th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
We spent New Year’s Eve as we always do at home. We have a tradition where we take down the decorations and tree and when Midnight Strikes we drink sparkling cider from the crystal flutes from our wedding almost 16 years ago. *g* Daughter has finally reached the age where she can drink out of the glasses and it’s fun to watch her handle the delicate glasses. *G*
January 7th, 2009 at 3:14 pm
We had a nice dinner and watched some movies.
January 7th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
I was in bed and asleep well before midnight. My Dad has surgery at 7 am that morning and Mom & I were at the hospital most of the day.
January 7th, 2009 at 5:35 pm
Hubby and I went to a nice steak house then cuddled up together in front the the tv.
January 7th, 2009 at 5:40 pm
I lead a pretty quite life. I spent NYE at home with a good book and a good movie on DVD.
January 7th, 2009 at 6:10 pm
Well I was at my aunt’s house this New Years Eve celebrating with my large family. But I fell asleep 20 minutes to midnight and missed the whole crazy midnight celebrations. No one woke me up until it was almost 2am and we were all leaving for home.
January 7th, 2009 at 6:14 pm
I LOVE the book blurb! As for NYE - it was tame, but nice - I spent it with my parents. We watched a movie - then the ball drop in NYC, had champagne, etc.
Nothing wild and crazy for me this year.
January 7th, 2009 at 6:41 pm
Too cool, Cynthia! (The story, not your NYE ;)) We spent ours at home, dinner with the kidlets, then I think we went to bed early, before midnight… I don’t think we even watched the ball drop on TV!
January 7th, 2009 at 7:21 pm
not sucking up or anything but I spend most of the day in my recliner reading Finished one book and the started on your latest. The MIL cooked dinner and we walked to her house and ate. Was a good day lol.
January 7th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
Immortal Danger sounds good! I was at a chat on New Years. We got to talk to authors, win books, and see the New Year together.
January 7th, 2009 at 10:40 pm
I spent New Year’s Eve with my family at my parent’s house. We…my sister, brother, and their families…all gather and watch the ball drop shoot of poppers, confetti, silly string, and drink sparkling cider. The kids always have fun and we spend a nice safe time together.
Immortal Danger sounds great and I love the cover.
January 8th, 2009 at 5:19 am
I spent all day until the countdown rearranged my bookshelf. It was the only time I have enough vacation time to do it.
January 8th, 2009 at 10:45 am
I’m boring also I stayed home and didn’t even stay up to midnight. My parents lost their power earlier in the day and it still wasn’t on so they spent the night at my house which was weird.
January 8th, 2009 at 2:33 pm
home and in bed by 10 i lead a boring life
January 8th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
I spent New Year’s eve at home reading. I tried to go to bed but the neighborhood fireworks kept me awake. I’m like Mindy. I lead a boring life.
January 8th, 2009 at 3:51 pm
I went to two parties, one of which was set on London time (so we toasted the New Year at 4:00 p.m. Pacific time) and ended at 7:00 so the people with kidlets could get them home and to bed. And boy, were there a ton of kidlets—most under four!
The second party was just a small, two family gathering, where we played card games and ate fondue. It was peaceful and fun.
January 8th, 2009 at 5:23 pm
Nothing but hang out at home. Two of the three kids stayed up until midnight then promptly fell asleep after asking if it was okay to. My daughter’s birthday is New Years Day so we have to be clear headed for the most part for any party she might get to have.
January 8th, 2009 at 5:45 pm
I had an amazing New years, as always I spent the night trying to comfort 2 dogs that were VERY freaked out by all the fireworks going on in the neighborhood.
January 8th, 2009 at 6:49 pm
Dull life and I was asleep before midnight.
January 8th, 2009 at 7:24 pm

January 8th, 2009 at 8:13 pm
Oh man, do I have to share what I did on New Year’s Eve?! I hung out at home with my black cats Chaos and Mayhem, drinking beer and reading paranormal romances…
January 8th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
I spent the evening relaxing and reading the Unusual Suspects anthology.
January 8th, 2009 at 10:49 pm
We’ve been going to a friend’s house with a whole group of families ever since our kids were all babies - they’re all in high school now. I broke out in hives just before we left, and the guys all went without me. So I stayed home alone, read, and relaxed. It was kind of nice, actually.
January 9th, 2009 at 2:27 am
I stayed home and cooked food for my last Christmas get together (on new years day) with extended family. Then I watched tv and read blogs online. Woohoo. Such excitement. LOL!
Thanks!
January 9th, 2009 at 6:25 am
I watched the news on New Year’s eve and got to see how Seattle brought in the New Year with a fireworks display off the Space Needle. I guess Vancouver blew their fireworks budget already earlier in the year celebrating our 150th anniversary. Well I’m sure in 2010 we’ll get a bigger budget for fireworks when we welcome the world for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
January 9th, 2009 at 12:16 pm
Hi, everyone! Thank you for all the comments. I really loved hearing about your New Year’s.
Next year, I wanna be at home, watching Supernatural episodes and chugging champagne. Um, yep, I did say chugging instead of sipping. LOL.
The winner of the ARC is…commenter #20–Phoebe! Congratulations, Phoebe! I’m going to shoot you an email with prize information.
Thank you, again, for all the comments.
Have a great weekend!
