Sharing my latest cover!

Hi, everyone!  Hope you are enjoying a great week.  :-)

Today, I wanted to share my newest cover with you–the cover for my first romantic suspense novel from Grand Central Publishing.

deadlyfear-2

This book (out in August of 2010!) will be my first non-paranormal single title.  Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my paranormals (so addicted to those vamps, demons, and, yes, now a fallen angel), but it was fun to try something a little different.  In DEADLY FEAR, the monster isn’t a supernatural being; he’s a man. Evil to the core and, unfortunately, a man who could live and work right next to you–and you wouldn’t ever be able to see the real monster hiding so close.

DEADLY FEAR is the first in a new series that I have written for Grand Central Publishing.  The second book, DEADLY HEAT, is due out in February of 2011, then the third book, DEADLY LIES, will be out in March of 2011.  All of the books focus on the SSD–the Serial Services Division in the FBI.  My agents are assigned the mission of tracking and apprehending serials (serial killers, arsonists, rapists, kidnappers).  Lucky for me, they are very good at their job.

In DEADLY FEAR, the killer’s weapon is, well, fear.  He turns his victims worst fears into reality.  Wicked man.  :-) So tell me…what scares you? What fears to you have?

After telling us that the villain in the book makes people’s fears a reality, you ask what my fears are?

As if I would tell ANYONE right now!

Kidding aside, I’m very jazzed about this novel–isitaugustyet?

Oh, this sounds awesome! Congratulations! *marking august on my calendar*
    Plus, I love the cover.

Spiders. I know, unoriginal, but it’s true. The little freaks scare the heck out of me!!

  4. Brandy Says:

Of course I have the normal fears of snakes and icky things, but being alone in my life is a fear that can really make me freak out.
Can’t wait until your August release!

  5. Cynthia Eden Says:

LOL, sorry, Azteclady! Should have slowly built up to the fear question, huh?

Thank you, Lori! I love the look of the cover, too!

Oh, Jackie, I can understand that! Snakes are the beasties that get to me.

Brandy, I don’t think you’ll ever be alone!

    Thanks for the comments, ladies!

Whooaaaa… I LOVE the cover, Cynthia! And heh - you authors are determined to make me include romantic suspense in my reading, huh? I’ve already made so many exceptions I don’t know if I can even say I don’t go for it.
As for my fears… Dying in a car crash. Which is especially unfortunate when one knows my car is nicknamed the Death Mobile. (Not because it’s unreliable, but because it seems to have a magnetic force which makes other drivers want to hit me.)
Spiders, bugs, for sure. Heights. Failing >.<

  9. Jess Granger Says:

    Blood.

    Lovely cover, Cynthia!

  10. Cynthia Eden Says:

Thanks so much for featuring my book, Michelle! That was so awesome of you! (And, technically, it’ll be out the last week of July even if it has an official release date of August.)

Thank you, Limecello! And, yes, branch out–give the RS a try! The Death Mobile, huh? Now that is scary!

    Thanks, Jess!

Great cover Cindy!! Can’t wait for this series. My mom is jazzed too. She loves rom/sus and I told her all about you!!!

My fears - my biggest is dying, I almost phobic about it. I use to be afraid to go to sleep. That was like about three years ago. Needless to say I didn’t get a lot of sleep every night. A few hours here and there. It of course was totally related to my fear of death. LOL
