I must give a huge shout out of congrats to gal pal Ann Aguirre who not only made the Locus Bestseller List with the ever magnificent Grimspace, but she also got a fabulous author quote from Patricia Briggs! You read the quote on Ann’s blog. Rock on with your bad self, Ann! Woo hoo!
I went to see Sex & The City this weekend. Remember when I talked about Movie Theater vs. DVD? And how I said I rarely go to the theater unless there is a movie that is a must see for me? Well, this is a must see movie for me. I love Carrie and the girls. They always have a good time. From the previews it looked like a lot of fluff, but it ended up being way more than that. The movie itself was over 2 hours long and each and every minute of it fan-freaking-tastic!!! I would love to go see it again, that’s how great it was. But instead I’ll wait until it comes out on DVD and it will be added to my collection and watched TONS. If you watched the series while it was on HBO, I really, really encourage you to go see this movie. It really is worth the money. You can watch multiple trailers here.
Will you go see it? Are there any movies coming out that you have seen or are dying to see?

Mmmm…. The Dark Night and the new Indy would be the only ones. Sadly, my plans with a friend fell through so I’ll have to wait and get them on DVD.
Oh well
more book money

Heh. More book money is always good. I don’t know about Indy. I thought about it, but I figure I’ll wait. I’m sure there’ll be another summer movie coming out that I’ll want to see but I haven’t really looked that far ahead to see what’s coming.

I’m going to see Kung Fu Panda on Friday.
I’m looking forward to Dark Knight and Hancock. I saw Iron Man and LOVED it, so I’d like to go see it again.

I really want to see “The Dark Knight,” “The X-Files: I Want to Believe” and the third Mummy movies.

Jane– Ooooh! I didn’t know there was going to be a third Mummy movie! Sweet! Is Oded Fehr going to be in it I wonder? He’s so hot. LOL
Cynthia– It’s FABULOUS. You’re going to love it. Bring some tissues.
Vivi– Kung Fu Panda looks hilarious! You’ll have to let me know how it is. I wanted to see Iron Man but I had to decide between that and Sex and the City and chose my fave.

Hey Marissa, sounds like you had a wonderful time. At the time Sex and The City was on we didn’t have HBO, so we only saw it very sporatically when we happened to be in a hotel or something that had HBO. I liked it, though I have to admit I didn’t get addicted to it.
It’s actually one of those movies that I’ll rent when it comes out on DVD, but I’ll admit I’m not dyin’ to see it. I saw the new Indy movie this weekend and really liked it. What’s coming up that I want to see? The new Batman movie, the new Journey To The Center of The Earth, The Mummy 3, The Happening, and I’m probably forgetting something…well, I’m droolin’ over Australia, but that doesn’t come out until November.

I may be a bit dorky, but I’m really looking forward to Mamma Mia, which comes out in July. Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, and the music of Abba—sign me up! Plus I saw the theatrical version in San Francisco and had a great time!

I’ve seen the new Indy movie, really enjoyed it and looking very forward to Wanted.
I never got into Sex & the City, so will not see it.
