LOL. Since my husband is the chef in the family, I usually throw away the "mistake" pans and then neglect to tell him. Sure, he eventually notices, but then I just tell him... That thing? It hasn't been around for awhile. ;) I know, I'm awful. Good thing he knows me, lol, cause he always guesses what happened.

I've turned a small stainless steel saucepan into a bright orange melting dripping thing when I decided it was a good idea to go lie down for a second while waiting for the water to boil. Then, a few years later, it turns out I didn't learn my lesson when I forgot that I was boiling water in the new replacement small saucepan but I caught it before it started to melt. It was discoloured and wouldn't boil water evenly or as quickly as before. We're on our third little saucepan now...

LMAO I even go through the thought process of thinking about setting the timer, but then talk myself out of it. "It's only 10 mins. i'll remember" Yeah, after *cough* times, you'd think I'd learn.

I do the cooking then wandering thing ALL the time.

My girl makes me sit in the kitchen if I'm going to cook. After 3 exploding boiled eggs 3 separate times...I figure she may have a point.
